2–3 Weeks Before: Build Your Wishlist
Add everything you're considering buying to your Amazon Wishlist right now. This serves two purposes: you can track if prices genuinely drop during the sale (vs. MRP inflation), and Amazon sometimes shows exclusive sale prices to wishlist users first.
For each item above ₹3,000, also check the price on Keepa.com and note the lowest-ever price. During the Great Indian Festival, aim to buy only if the sale price is within 10–15% of the historical lowest.
1 Week Before: Bank and Prime Setup
- Get Amazon Prime — Prime members get 24-hour early access. At ₹299/month or ₹1,499/year, Prime pays for itself in one sale if you save ₹1,500+ on a purchase.
- Check your bank card offers — SBI and HDFC typically offer 10% instant cashback. Load an SBI or HDFC debit/credit card to your Amazon account before the sale.
- Enable Amazon Pay balance — Amazon occasionally runs 2–5% cashback on Amazon Pay UPI payments during GIFS.
- Join TazaDeal Telegram — t.me/india_deal_alerts_new — get real-time alerts when flash deals go live.
During the Sale: What to Buy First
Electronics (smartphones, laptops, TVs) sell out fastest — buy within the first 2 hours of sale launch. Appliances (washing machines, ACs) have more stock and discounts last longer. Fashion clearance is best on Days 3–5 when additional markdowns often happen.
Avoid impulse buying on Day 1 for non-essential items — if it's still available on Day 2, the deal is probably not as scarce as it seems.
